CCO Oregon’s Board of Directors is excited to welcome Samantha Shepherd as the new Executive Director to lead the health policy organization. Shepherd succeeds Ben Hoyne, who has been Executive Director since CCO Oregon’s inception in 2012.

CCO Oregon is a non-profit member association that aims to be shaped by and to serve all stakeholders that touch coordinated care in Oregon. Our purpose is to support the delivery of exceptional care at reduced costs while promoting the health and well-being of Oregonians.

“This is a pivotal time in Oregon and our nation for health care. We’ve made a lot of progress in transforming the system, and have a lot more to do. I plan to build on CCO Oregon’s successes and prepare the organization to meet the challenges ahead and protect what’s already been accomplished,” says Shepherd.

Shepherd will lead the organization to fulfill its mission of improving the health of Oregonians. She brings experience in public policy, communications, and organizational development. Her background includes working with several nonprofits, labor unions, and state agencies. Additionally, she has worked as a consultant for policy advocacy initiatives and campaigns.

"The CCO Oregon Board of Directors and I are thrilled for Samantha Shepherd to start as the new Executive Director. Ms. Shepherd brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will bolster our organizational foundation whilst ensuring the continued statewide impact and overall success of the organization,” said Matthew Sinnott, Chair of the CCO Oregon Board of Directors.

Sinnott added, “It is bittersweet to see the departure of Ben Hoyne, who served as the organization’s first Executive Director and helped build CCO Oregon into the respected organization it is today.  We appreciate Mr. Hoyne’s contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavors."
